The snow gods showered us with love and snow. A week before Alex and I arrived in Telluride it started dumping. And the snowy weather continued for our stay. Probably the deepest powder I have skied.

For a big mountain, Telluride has a small town feel. It is off the beaten path and worth the effort to get there. Plenty of great terrain for all ski levels. Some very steep runs for the true experts out there. The town side slopes off plunge lift was my favorite area. It is all good. The free gondola that connects the town with the resort provides easy access in both directions.

We stayed at the affordable Mountainside Inn in the town of Telluride. You can walk to everything, it is a small town. “Baked in Telluride” has all kinds of good stuff to eat, and I highly recommend the Smuggler Brew Pub for good food and fun. Brown Dog Pizza is another good eating spot. Telluride – the pace is slow and easy, the scenery is dramatic, and the skiing is fantastic.
